Pro Se Filing

Filing Without an Attorney
Individuals can file bankruptcy without an attorney, which is called filing pro se. However, seeking the advice of a qualified attorney is strongly recommended because bankruptcy has long-term financial and legal outcomes
All individual bankruptcy filers are required to complete credit counseling during the 180-day period ending on the date of the filing of the petition. They are also required to complete a pre-discharge debtor education course. These may not be provided at the same time.
